The rigorous evaluation, guided by the technical specification regulations of the BJHAD, included a 30-day period during which Hongqi's L4 Robotaxi underwent system deployment, software-hardware calibration, and on-site testing. The examination encompassed a comprehensive range of 26 scenarios, including intersection navigation, pedestrian interaction, and vehicle conflict resolution. Impressively, Hongqi's third-generation L4 Robotaxi excelled across all examination domains.
This triumph heralds the official debut of Hongqi's third-generation L4 Robotaxi. The vehicle is installed with 7 solid-state LiDAR units, 7 cameras, and 5 millimeter-wave radars. The redundant autonomous driving system undergoes an annual iterative update cycle. Advancing from the previous E-HS3 model, the third-generation L4 Robotaxi now evolves into the E-HS9 variant, introducing enhanced redundancy backup systems, remote control capabilities, and vehicle-road-cloud coordination.
Notably, Hongqi’s third-generation Robotaxi rides on the same platform as its mass-produced vehicles, which allows the Robotaxi to achieve L4 autonomous driving proficiency while significantly reducing costs.
