Leveraging QCraft’s leading full-stack autonomous driving solution and Horizon Robotics’ homegrown Journey series automotive chips, the duo will push forward the R&D and mass production of high-level autonomous solutions.
The partners plan to build prototype autonomous sample cars based on the Journey 5 chips, and put the vehicles into road test in the third quarter of 2022. By 2023, the two companies aim to have their Journey 5-powered autonomous solution prepared for large-scale production.
In an effort to consolidate their long-term and stable partnership, QCraft and Horizon Robotics will ensure mutual benefits by exploring autonomous driving-related technological, product development, resource promotion fields.
In addition, their cooperation will mainly focus on pre-assembly and production-ready ADAS, autonomous driving, intelligent human machine interaction, and AI capabilities. Horizon Robotics will provide its intelligent auto solution consisting of auto-grade chips, onboard computing platform, visual perception, and HMI technologies to meet with QCraft’s diverse demands in all-scenario intelligent driving applications.
By virtue of each’s resources in the auto industry, the duo hope to land more mass-production orders.
