Gasgoo Munich- On February 28, Hu Zhengnan, a senior consultant at Xiaomi EV, addressed recent online rumors regarding images of the "Xiaomi Vision GT" supercar.

According to foreign media reports, a camouflaged mystery vehicle was recently spotted on the streets of Barcelona, Spain. The car features a low, aggressive stance with smooth, flowing contours, and the word "xiaomi" is clearly visible on its wheel covers.

The vehicle is likely the Vision Gran Turismo (VGT) concept supercar, a collaboration between Xiaomi and the Gran Turismo franchise. Designed as a flagship to showcase Xiaomi EV's top-tier electric performance technology globally, it is set to be displayed at MWC 2026.

As speculation mounted, images claiming to show the actual vehicle surfaced online. After a prominent auto influencer shared one such photo on social media, Hu Zhengnan dismissed it in the comments. "That's fan art! Don't take it seriously," he wrote. "The real car looks much better and exceeds everyone's expectations. Please wait—good things take time."

Separately, on the evening of February 27, Xiaomi Group Partner and President Lu Weibing—who also leads the mobile division and manages the Xiaomi brand—posted that he had arrived in Barcelona. He hinted that the upcoming press event would bring new surprises across smartphones, EVs, and AI. He added that on March 2, during MWC 2026, Xiaomi will showcase its progress in an "AI-powered Human x Car x Home smart ecosystem," promising plenty of highlights.

In 2025, Xiaomi EV delivered more than 410,000 vehicles. Previously, Lei Jun had set a delivery target of 550,000 units for 2026. In January of this year, deliveries exceeded 39,000.
