Gasgoo Munich - In a recent video update, Jin Yuzhi, CEO of Huawei's Intelligent Automotive Solutions Business Unit, outlined the partnership's progress. Qijing, a joint venture between GAC Group and Huawei, targets the high-end new-energy sector. Operating independently, the partners began working together through a joint office in January 2025, advancing the project via the GH company. With a slogan promising "extraordinary" experiences, Qijing's debut model is a shooting brake coupe aimed at the luxury segment typically dominated by million-yuan vehicles. At the Huawei Qiankun ecosystem conference last November, Qijing CEO Liu Jiaming said the brand would launch two new models by mid-2026. He vowed to "redefine smart vehicles with AI" while unveiling concept designs. Recent reports suggest the first model will launch and begin deliveries next June.

Intellectual property filings reveal that Shenzhen Yinwang Intelligent Technology has transferred several "Qijing" trademarks to Huawei Automotive Technology (Guangzhou). The transfers cover categories including lighting and air conditioning, transportation tools, and website services, with most trademarks currently under substantive examination.

The second brand, Yijing, comes from Dongfeng Motor and Huawei Qiankun — the first new-energy marque born from a deep partnership between Huawei and a central state-owned automaker. Focused on family travel, Yijing adopts the slogan "Fill life with excellence." Its first vehicle, a full-size SUV equipped with new Qiankun features, saw its first tooling prototype roll off the assembly line on Dec. 22. The vehicle is now destined for Mohe, where it will undergo extreme cold testing to validate the reliability of its battery, sealing, climate control, and chassis stability in harsh conditions.

Yijing's debut model is scheduled to debut at the Beijing Auto Show in April 2026, with a launch later that year. Looking ahead, the brand aims to introduce at least one new model annually to expand its product lineup.

The progress of Qijing and Yijing signals that the deeper cooperation between Huawei Qiankun and domestic automakers has entered a tangible phase of product delivery.
