Gasgoo Munich- Dongfeng Forthing kicked off a national pre-sale launch for its Xinghai V6 on August 8. Positioned as a family-focused electric six-seater, the model offers four configurations. The 510 km Qiankun Flagship carries a pre-sale price of 124,900 yuan, while the 400 km Qiankun Premium comes in at 104,900 yuan. Previously announced prices include the 510 km Dignified at 104,900 yuan and the 400 km Luxury at 89,900 yuan.
That makes the Xinghai V6 the only large six-seater in the 100,000-yuan class to feature Huawei’s Qiankun intelligent driving.

As the first production model born from deep collaboration between Dongfeng Motor and Huawei, the Xinghai V6 comes standard with Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 5.0 driver-assistance system across the lineup. It packs 25 high-sensitivity sensors and Huawei’s in-house MDC computing platform for 360-degree environmental awareness. Capabilities include Navigation on Autopilot (NCA) for highways, Lane Centering Control Plus (LCC+) for city streets, and intelligent parking that handles over 160 complex scenarios.
Meanwhile, the CAS 5.0 comprehensive active safety system delivers Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) from the front, sides, and rear, along with multiple warning functions.
Chen Zhengyu, product director at Dongfeng Forthing, said the Xinghai V6 was built around the real travel needs of Chinese families. The goal is to elevate the experience for family users through smarter technology, more space, longer range, and enhanced safety.
On the space front, the Xinghai V6 measures 4,835 mm long, 1,900 mm wide, and 1,755 mm tall, with a 2,900 mm wheelbase. It uses a 2+2+2 six-seat layout, featuring independent second-row seats with a central aisle. The third-row seats fold down into a sunken storage well, creating a flat floor space of roughly 1.63 square meters.
With all six seats occupied, the trunk offers 513 liters of space—enough for six 20-inch suitcases. With the rear seats folded, capacity expands to 1,630 liters. A seven-seat version is also available.
For range, buyers can choose between 400 km and 510 km CLTC versions, paired with 45.5 kWh and 60.5 kWh battery packs, respectively. The motor delivers a maximum output of 135 kW and peak torque of 260 Nm. The 510 km variant boasts city energy consumption of 11.8 kWh per 100 km and a range realization rate of 95%.
The cabin features a 15.6-inch 2.5K central control screen powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip, integrating Baidu voice recognition and the Ernie Bot large language model. The new model is expected to officially hit the market and begin deliveries in September.
