The Economic Times - These are early days, but Sachin Tendulkar may have done a world of good to India's used luxury car segment by selling his Ferrari to a Surat businessman. The sale earned him brickbats for parting with a gift that he had demanded duty exemption for, but it has put the spotlight on a fledgling segment.
A fortnight ago, BMW India announced it was preparing to enter the used car business in October with the launch of a preowned car programme called BMW Premium Selection. Rival Mercedes-Benz India is already in this business with its Proven Exclusivity programme. Likewise, Audi India is planning to follow suit.
