Gasgoo Munich-On August 25, the "Smart Fusion · Powering Innovation" 2026 Foton Innovation Technology Forum and Commercial Vehicle Forward-Looking Technology Exhibition, hosted by Foton in partnership with Gasgoo, successfully concluded.
Combining keynote speeches with a technical exhibition, the event focused on core areas including smart chassis and steer-by-wire technologies, hydrogen-electric power systems and energy efficiency optimization, smart cockpits and human-machine interaction, and commercial vehicle lightweighting and safety. It brought together 25 top-tier parts suppliers and industry experts, building an efficient bridge for technical matchmaking between OEMs and the supply chain. The platform aimed to facilitate pragmatic cooperation and help upstream and downstream enterprises identify opportunities for technology implementation.

Opening Remarks
At the opening ceremony, Kang Chuanjian, president of Foton’s New Technology Research Institute, delivered remarks. He emphasized that the key to technical exchange lies in application, expressing hope that engineers would engage deeply with suppliers at the event. The goal, he noted, is to gradually integrate industry-leading ideas and technologies into future product development, better aligning with actual market needs and continuously strengthening core product competitiveness. He also wished the event a complete success.

Following the opening, Guo Fenggang, Party Secretary of Foton’s Engineering Research General Institute, joined Kang Chuanjian and other senior executives for a tour of the exhibition floor. They held in-depth discussions with exhibitors regarding products and technologies, exploring potential collaboration opportunities.



Keynote Sessions
The event featured two parallel forums offering deep dives into topics such as large-model cockpit-driving integration and physical AI combined with hardware innovation.
The first forum, themed "Empowering Smart Driving with Large Models to Boost Full-Domain Intelligence in Commercial Vehicles," featured insights from Nie Julun, senior consultant at Neusoft Intelligent Mobility, who analyzed the evolution of computing power in smart cockpits from the perspective of large-model integration. Wu Haiwei, marketing director at Soliding, detailed the company’s integrated instrument and center console solution designed to reshape the commercial vehicle cockpit experience. Zhou Hao, automotive industry director at Zhiqeng Singularity, discussed joint modules and the parity of new energy batteries. Dai Jin, general manager of Huayan Robot’s Automotive BU, shared how technological innovation is driving the efficient implementation of smart manufacturing.

The second forum focused on physical AI and hardware component innovation to strengthen the foundation of commercial vehicle chassis and EE architectures. Li Xu, automotive software development engineer at Hongke Electronics, explained the application of high-speed bus communication technology in bionic dexterous hand scenarios. Zhang Jinxuan, sales director for the Northern Region at Amphenol, presented solutions for automotive precision connectivity to ensure stable signal transmission for high-level autonomous driving. Ye Shujiang, technical manager for light commercial vehicles at Pangu Power, analyzed the implementation of distributed wheel-side drive in light commercial vehicles. Zhang Deguang, China market manager at DuPont, addressed lubrication challenges facing new energy commercial vehicles and outlined corresponding strategies and solutions.

Forward-Looking Technology Exhibition
On the exhibition floor, 25 top-tier parts suppliers showcased their latest products and technical solutions across smart chassis and steer-by-wire, electric drive systems and energy efficiency optimization, smart cockpits and human-machine interaction, and commercial vehicle lightweighting and safety.



Exhibits in the smart chassis and steer-by-wire sector included core components such as data acquisition devices, embodied perception bus analysis systems, autonomous driving network diagnostic platforms, and electromagnetic clutches. The electric drive and energy efficiency sector featured IGBT/SiC power modules, automotive-grade MCUs, automotive-grade BMS AFE chips, and MCS megawatt charging systems. The smart cockpit and HMI sector covered interaction terminals, driver assistance visualization systems, vehicle intelligent monitoring terminals, and cockpit cloud data services. Meanwhile, the lightweighting and safety sector included intelligent sensing fastening modules, lightweight sensing connection structures, battery pack intelligent monitoring connection systems, intelligent anti-loosening monitoring connection systems, intelligent sealing protection components for electronic control systems, and specialty lubricants.

Through this matchmaking event, Foton established direct contact with numerous suppliers holding core technologies, providing more options for future technology selection and supply chain development. At the same time, it offered a crucial opportunity for high-quality small and medium-sized enterprises to demonstrate their capabilities and enter the supply chain systems of mainstream automakers.
Supply Chain Companies Visit Foton
As a key part of the exhibition, a special tour allowed suppliers to inspect Foton’s actual vehicles and new technology achievements. Representatives visited Foton’s vehicle display area to see its latest commercial vehicle platforms and key technologies up close. They engaged in on-site discussions regarding vehicle layout, chassis integration, and smart cockpit prototypes. This session further bridged the gap between supply chain technologies and vehicle implementation needs, giving exhibitors a more intuitive understanding of Foton’s product development priorities and future technical direction.
