Shanghai December 30 (Gasgoo.com) Jianghuai Automobile Co., Ltd. (JAC) plans to sell 1.6 million vehicles by the end of 2015, gaining 100 billion yuan ($15 billion) in sales revenue, Jiefang Daily reported, citing the company’s plan for 2011-2015.
The automaker intends to get 20% of those sales figures from its overseas markets during the period, the Daily said.
JAC, among the top 10 Chinese carmakers, said it will stick to development of commercial vehicles and further bolster its leading position in the segment. From 2011 to 2015, JAC aims to boost sales of commercial vehicles, including light trucks, heavy trucks, Ghalefar trucks and the chassis, to 878,000 units, a year-on-year growth of 106%.
As of the end of 2015, JAC expects to become a major force in the domestic commercial vehicle sector with cumulative sales of 1.49 million vehicles, following Dongfeng Motor Corp, FAW Group and Foton Motor Co.
In the first eleven months of this year, JAC Commercial Vehicle achieved sales of 228,300 units. Full-year sales are likely to exceed 250,000 units, an increase of more than 40% compared to 2009.
JAC’s year-to-date sales soared 197% from a year earlier to 450,000 vehicles. Meanwhile, it reported sales revenue of 35 billion yuan, up 194% on the year.
