The agreement focuses on advancing the CIIC (CATL Integrated Intelligent Chassis) technology, also known as the skateboard chassis, to develop new vehicle platforms and deploy various scenario-specific models.
On January 6, 2024, JAC Group and CATL further solidified their partnership by signing a strategic cooperation agreement, emphasizing collaboration in power battery technologies. Both parties agreed to integrate CIIC technology into future vehicle applications as a key focus of their joint efforts. This latest agreement deepens their existing partnership.
Up to now, JAC Yiwei and CAIT-SH have achieved initial success. Targeting domestic household, commercial, and overseas markets, the duo plans to initially deploy the CIIC-S platform onto JAC Yiwei's new energy passenger vehicles. With the support of the CIIC-S platform, JAC Yiwei's vehicles will see advancements in battery-swapping, pure-electric, and extended-range powertrain technologies.
The cooperation extends to joint research on advanced intelligent chassis technologies, including low-voltage power distribution center (PDC), thermal management, battery packs, and electronic and electrical (EE) architectures.
