
Gasgoo.com (Shanghai July 27) - Jaguar Land Rover's sales in China hit 18,508 vehicles in the first six months of the year, Gasgoo.com (Chinese) reported today. The figure represents 48 percent growth for the manufacturer's business in the country. The manufacturer's top-of-the-line customer service and brand quality have caught the Chinese market by storm.
Both British brands experienced great growth in the country this year, with Land Rover and Jaguar having sold 16,322 and 2,186 vehicles, respectively. Both brands saw their sales volumes increase around 50 percent. Ever since the specially made Jaguar XJ 3.0's debut at the Auto Shanghai exhibition this year, both Jaguar and Land Rover have been doing very well in their respective segments.
Bob Grace, Jaguar Land Rover's director of China Operations, said that the brand's performance so far gave him full confidence in its future in the Chinese market. Mr. Grace said that he looks forward to China becoming JLR's second largest market.
