Gasgoo Munich- On March 19, Jetour hosted a spring launch event in Wuhu under the theme "Beyond," officially unveiling the 2026 Jetour Shanhai L7 Beyond Edition and the 2026 Jetour X70 Beyond Edition.

Positioned as a "5+2-seat premium electric hybrid SUV," the Shanhai L7 Beyond Edition carries a limited-time starting price of 99,900 yuan. The 2026 Jetour X70 Beyond Edition, marketed as a "wide-body, comfortable large 7-seater SUV," starts at 69,900 yuan. Together, the models create a clear divide in powertrain and use cases, covering the full spectrum of family mobility—from daily commuting to long-haul road trips.

Built for Travel

As the highlight of the event, the 2026 Shanhai L7 Beyond Edition adopts a "Shanhai Symbiosis Aesthetics" design language. A closed front grille paired with full-width headlights delivers the minimalist, stylish look typical of new energy vehicles.

The body retains wide dimensions of 4,749mm by 1,900mm by 1,720mm, with that 1,900mm width establishing a solid physical foundation for interior lateral space.

The true product focus lies in spatial layout. Available in five- and seven-seat configurations, the second row offers 960mm of legroom and 997mm of headroom. The second-row backrest adjusts between 25 and 41 degrees, accommodating various seating postures.

With the second row folded, cargo space expands to 1,688 liters—enough for 24 20-inch suitcases, according to official data—along with 33 storage compartments throughout the cabin. This approach to space is straightforward and pragmatic: prioritizing quantifiable loading capacity for large families over stylistic features.

On the tech front, dual 12.3-inch displays serve as the information hub, featuring a 360-degree panoramic view and 180-degree "transparent chassis" visibility—practical aids for navigating narrow passes or complex terrain.

Comfort features include "Cloud-style" seats with a 525mm ultra-long cushion and 20mm-thick foam. The list also includes front ventilation and heating, a heated steering wheel, and 50W wireless phone charging.

Notable is the 5-liter refrigerator with a temperature range from -6°C to 50°C, designed to keep food fresh or baby bottles warm during family outings.

The powertrain represents the Shanhai L7 Beyond Edition's most significant update. It utilizes a plug-in hybrid system combining a fifth-generation ACTECO 1.5TGDI hybrid-specific engine with an electric motor. The engine delivers 115kW of maximum power and 220N·m of peak torque, while the motor contributes 199kW and 395N·m.

Range-wise, the CLTC electric-only driving range is 130 kilometers, with a fuel consumption of 5.18 liters per 100 kilometers when the battery is low. Fully fueled and charged, total range reaches 1,300 kilometers, supported by an 18-minute fast-charging capability from 30% to 80%.

On the safety and warranty front, a body structure comprising 75% high-strength steel is paired with a lifetime warranty covering the entire vehicle and its core electrical components, aiming to minimize long-term ownership concerns.

By contrast, the 2026 Jetour X70 Beyond Edition, which debuted simultaneously, follows a different path.

The exterior continues the "Huicheng" family design language, available in Champagne Gold and Bright Moon Grey, with a 62-inch ultra-wide panoramic sunroof as the visual highlight. Inside, the cabin features a black-and-red color scheme and a 10.25-inch floating central screen.

Power comes from a familiar 1.5-liter turbo engine paired with a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission, producing 115kW and 230N·m—a proven internal combustion powertrain. The lifetime warranty remains, and the limited-time starting price of 69,900 yuan further lowers the barrier to entry for mid-size SUVs.

Jetour's "Ecosystem Beyond" and the Starry Sky Plan

The debut of these two models comes as Jetour's cumulative sales surpass 2.22 million units. As of February 2026, global sales have reached 2.22 million, making Jetour the only Chinese automotive brand to sell 2 million units within seven years.

The "Travel RV Starry Plan," unveiled concurrently, extends this strategic logic. According to official data, Jetour has already established 176 high-quality campsites and over 3,000 global service stations, with ecosystem partnerships covering scenic areas, lodging, dining, and camping.

Building on this, the Starry Sky Plan sharpens its focus on camping by introducing 100 star-rated campsites. Owners gain access to three exclusive benefits along with new camping ecosystem perks.

From a commercial standpoint, this approach bundles vehicle sales with ongoing service experiences, transforming "travel" from a mere selling point into an operational user touchpoint. Customers are buying more than just a car; they are buying a solution tailored to specific scenarios.

This dual-track strategy of "product plus ecosystem" has already been validated by Jetour's "Box" series. Data shows sales of these boxy models surpassed 300,000 units in 2025, topping the charts in nine countries and regions.

From product to ecosystem, and from internal combustion to hybrid, Jetour's path of "transcendence" is marked by a specific trait: rather than pursuing aggressive technology in a single dimension, it focuses on progressively fulfilling the core scenario of family travel.

The Shanhai L7 Beyond Edition addresses the balance between efficiency and range, while the X70 Beyond Edition holds the line on value for basic transportation. The Starry Plan, meanwhile, covers the post-purchase experience. Together, these three layers form a comprehensive package—allowing families with varying budgets and needs to find the right fit.

This may explain why Jetour has managed to surpass 2.22 million sales in seven years: bridging the gap between aspirational travel concepts and the daily necessities of life, Jetour has chosen a product logic that serves both, using ecosystem development to lower the barrier to realizing these experiences.

When the slogan "taking one's home to the mountains and seas" translates into executable camping perks, quantifiable space, and calculable range, the decision to buy ceases to be a mere comparison of specs. It becomes a choice of lifestyle.
