Gasgoo Munich- Leading auto parts supplier Joyson Electronics has formed a strategic partnership with solid-state battery maker Enpower. The companies will focus on power solutions for embodied AI robots, jointly developing energy systems that integrate battery cells, BMS, and data services.

As robots require higher mobility and computing power, demand is increasing for energy density, safety, and lightweighting in power batteries. High-energy-density solid-state batteries are considered a key solution for future robot energy management due to their suitability for miniaturization and weight reduction.
In this collaboration, Joyson Electronics will contribute its automotive-grade battery management system (BMS) technology and data service capabilities. The company already supplies BMS products in volume to global automakers including Volkswagen, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz. Utilizing technological synergies, Joyson is transferring its automotive R&D and manufacturing expertise to the robotics sector, having previously launched a thoracic assembly solution that integrates robot controllers with energy management.

Enpower contributes its R&D and industrialization capabilities in solid-state batteries. Its portfolio spans semi-solid and quasi-solid technologies, featuring energy densities of up to 600Wh/kg. These batteries are already deployed in robots and drones.
The companies plan to form a joint working team to advance specific projects. Joyson Electronics Chairman Wang Jianfeng stated that Enpower's positioning in advanced battery technology complements Joyson's expertise in energy management and data services. Enpower Chairman Dai Xiang stated that Joyson's global customer network and manufacturing capabilities will help validate and promote its advanced battery technologies in high-end applications.
