Gasgoo.com (Shanghai March 22) - Another labor dispute at Honda's transmission factory in Foshan, Guangdong has recently broke out earlier this week. However, the incident was promptly resolved and production at the site has already fully recovered, China Business News reported today. According to the manufacturer, the factory's transmission output has not been affected by the incident.

Honda's transmission factory in Foshan, which is a subsidiary of the manufacturer's auto part department, supplies transmissions for the manufacturer's Chinese automobile factories. In addition to the transmission systems, the factory also produces axle shafts and various engine parts.

Three years ago, a similar labor dispute occurred at the factory, with workers complaining about low wages. Production at Honda's Chinese joint ventures was forced to halt for a week, equivalent to a daily production loss of over 200 million yuan ($29.34m).

According to statistics, Honda's Chinese sales for this January and February totaled 47,294 vehicles and 32,024 vehicles, respectively.
