Xiaomi Group founder, chairman and CEO Lei Jun went live at 8 p.m. on Jan. 15 for another livestream, offering an in-depth discussion with the public around the new-generation Xiaomi SU7, which has opened for pre-orders. The session follows the first product livestream on Jan. 7 and comes in response to strong viewer demand.

According to official information, the livestream not only unpacks the car’s capabilities and address public questions, but also shares "good news for Xiaomi Auto" and offer interactive giveaways. Beyond Lei Jun himself, veteran automotive journalist Wu Pei will join as a guest. The broadcast will be simulcast across major social platforms including Douyin, Bilibili and Xiaohongshu.
Front and center in the livestream is the new-generation Xiaomi SU7, which opened for pre-orders on Jan. 7. Positioned as a luxury high-performance all-electric sedan, it carries a pre-sale price range of RMB 229,900 to 309,900 and is expected to launch formally in April 2026. The company says the model has undergone a comprehensive upgrade, with highlights including a new "Capri Blue" exterior color; lidar standard across the lineup to enable higher-level driver assistance and deliver "hardware parity"; a major step-up in range; and more advanced intelligent chassis and cockpit systems.
As competition in new-energy vehicles intensifies, frequent founder-led livestreams have become Xiaomi Auto’s way to keep communication transparent, connect with users and convey product value. Tonight’s session should give the market a clearer read on this headline model.
