Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On February 25, Li Auto officially announced via its Weibo account that its first all-electric SUV has been named the Li i8.
The i Series is a brand-new lineup of pure electric SUVs from Li Auto, sitting alongside the existing L Series and the MEGA premium MPV. The Li i8 will be the debut model of this series, marking the company's first foray into the pure electric SUV market.

Official images released by Li Auto showcase a sleek and futuristic design, continuing the brand's avant-garde design philosophy. The Li i8 features a technology-driven aesthetic that hints at the next-generation styling direction for Li Auto's all-electric SUVs.

The new model will also come equipped with LiDAR sensors and a full-width taillight.
Some local reports indicate that all Li Auto's new models to be launched this year—including both range-extended and pure electric vehicles—will come standard with LiDAR-based intelligent driving systems.
According to Li Auto's product roadmap, by 2025, the company plans to launch five range-extended electric vehicle models, the MEGA ultra-flagship model, and five battery electric vehicle models. In addition to the Li i8, upcoming i Series models will include the Li i6, i7, and i9.
