Gasgoo Munich- Triggered by persistent heavy rains from this year's Typhoon Mekkhala, large parts of Guangxi are facing historic, widespread flooding. As of 8:00 PM on July 7, the disaster has affected 375,000 people across 63 counties in 14 prefecture-level cities, forcing the emergency relocation of 130,000 residents. Across the region, 60 monitoring stations on 47 rivers—including the Yujiang, Xunjiang, Qianjiang, and Xijiang—remain above warning levels. In Guigang, one of the hardest-hit areas, water levels in the Yujiang urban section reached their highest point since 2001, creating an extremely critical situation for flood control and relief efforts.
Under the strategic coordination of Gotion High-tech (002074), Liuzhou Gotion New Energy Battery Co., Ltd. immediately activated a special emergency support mechanism. On July 10, Liuzhou Gotion donated 3 million yuan in dedicated relief funds to the Guangxi Charity Federation to support emergency relocations, basic living assistance, and infrastructure repairs for affected residents. Separately, the company dispatched 200,000 yuan worth of emergency supplies to Guigang, a flood-ravaged area, ensuring the basic needs of the local population are met.

As Gotion High-tech's manufacturing hub in South China and an anchor enterprise in Guangxi's new energy sector, Liuzhou Gotion has upheld the philosophy of "strengthening Guangxi through industry and green development" since starting production in 2022, actively integrating into the regional economy. This relief effort serves as a vivid example of corporate social responsibility, demonstrating Gotion High-tech's deep commitment to standing with the people of Guangxi through thick and thin.
Currently, 341 reservoirs in Guangxi exceed flood limits, and 41 rivers, including the Yujiang and Xunjiang, remain above warning levels, making disaster prevention and relief an arduous task. A representative from Liuzhou Gotion stated that the company will continue to monitor the situation closely, standing in solidarity with the affected communities to overcome these challenges.
