Shanghai January 7 (Gasgoo.com) Japanese automaker Mazda's vehicle sales in China rose 33% on the year to 239,700 units in 2010, meeting its full-year target of 220,000 units, said gasgoo.com, citing a company statement.
Mazda, one-third held by Ford Motor Co, sold 35,023 vehicles in the world's biggest auto market last month, up 36% from a year earlier.
Its local joint venture with FAW Car Co (000800.SZ) reported sales of 17,093 units in December, representing a 13% increase over November. Meanwhile, its other joint venture with Changan Automobile Co Ltd (000625.SZ) recorded sales of 17,930 units, up 67% from the previous month.
FAW Mazda posted 37% year-on-year sales growth in 2010 to 146,888 units; Changan Mazda on the other hand experienced domestic sales growth of 28% in the past year to 92,821 units.
