Gasgoo Munich-Minieye has recently secured a major contract from a joint venture brand of a global automaker to supply its iSafety 4 high-performance front-view integrated unit, according to industry reports. Slated for mass production in 2027, the project is expected to span several million units over its lifecycle.

Powered by Horizon Robotics’ Journey® 6B chip, the iSafety 4 intelligent driving system is designed to upgrade mainstream passenger vehicle platforms. It features optimizations across functional architecture, driving performance, safety compliance, and global adaptability.
In terms of functionality, the system enables precise driving assistance features such as traffic light navigation with countdown pre-deceleration and extreme avoidance of both static and dynamic obstacles within lanes. It also supports cabin functions like Driver Monitoring Systems (DMS) and Rear View Camera (RVC) imaging.
Positioned as a global product, the iSafety 4 complies with international standards including GSR 2.0 and Euro NCAP 2026, facilitating both domestic deployment and overseas expansion.
Notably, this marks another collaboration between the two partners.
Back in November 2025, Minieye won a bid for a smart cabin project from the same client. That contract, valued at approximately 320 million yuan, covers cabin solutions including Driver Monitoring Systems (DMS), Occupant Monitoring Systems (OMS), and multimodal interaction, with mass production deliveries having already started in early 2026.
