Gasgoo.com (Shanghai June 6) - Yesterday, the Ministry of Finance released the second list of pure electric and hybrid models exempt from the Vehicle and Vessel Tax Law, the Beijing Times reported today. Pure electric models from Great Wall, Chery and BAIC's Beijing brand were among the list's entrants.

The Ministry has also released a new list of vehicles which have reduced taxes, which includes the Great Wall Haval M2, Changan Ford Focus, Shanghai VW New Lavida and Shanghai GM Sail. Commercial vehicles from Beijing Hualin and electric buses from Yaxing Bus also made the list. Beginning from 2012, owners of traditionally powered energy efficient vehicles will only have to pay half of the tax, while those of new energy vehicles will be entirely exempt.
