Mitsubishi may supply small compact cars to Peugeot

Mitsubishi Motors Corp. is negotiating to supply small compact cars to PSA Peugeot Citroen, aiming to reach agreement by the end of year, the Nikkei newspaper reported today, without saying where it obtained the information. Mitsubishi Motors may begin production of compact cars in Thailand in the year ending March 31, 2012, the report said. It will consider mass-producing in China, India and Brazil, potentially making 400,000 to 500,000 cars a year in a few years, it said.
