New generation Honda Accord makes Chinese market debut

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai October 8) - Guangqi Honda has officially begun selling the ninth generation Accord in China over the National Day holiday, autohome.com.cn reported today. The Accord is available in five different variants, priced between 202,800 yuan and 236,800 yuan ($32,134-$37,521).

The new generation Accord (pictured) showcases some changes to the sedan's exterior and interior design. These changes are most noticeable in the PE variant, which has a sporty tailfin and revamped black and red dual tone interior. The PE version also comes with remote engine control and other features. The LX version, meanwhile, sports 17-inch wheels and comes equipped with steering wheel paddle shifters.

The new Accord is driven by the same 2.0 L and 2.4 L engines powering its predecessor. The engines are mated to a five-speed automatic transmission.
