New generation Honda Civic to make debut at end of year

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai August 10) - The new generation of the Honda Civic subcompact will make its debut the next Guangzhou International Motor Show held at the end of this year, the Beijing Youth Daily reported today.

The new Civic will reportedly be based on its American counterpart, with a 30 mm shorter wheelbase than its predecessor. The Civic takes design elements from the CR-Z concept (pictured), with redesigned grille and rear lights. Honda made the changes in order to increase the subcompact's drivability. The new car will be the first time a 115 Kw, 2.0 L engine makes its appearance in the country.
