Gasgoo Munich- NIO delivered the 10,000th ES9 on June 26. Founder, Chairman, and CEO William Li personally handed over the keys to the milestone owner — Li Ningchuan, Founder, Chairman, and General Manager of Zhejiang EV-Tech Co., Ltd.
Starting deliveries on May 28, the ES9 reached the 10,000-unit milestone in just 30 days, setting a new speed record for high-end pure electric SUVs in the 500,000-yuan class. The feat signals a shift as premium full-size SUVs enter the electric age.

The ES9 represents the culmination of NIO's 11 years of system innovation, creating a new category of intelligent electric executive flagship SUV. It sets a new benchmark for technology and experience in the premium SUV segment.
A returning NIO customer, Li Ningchuan said at the handover ceremony that he has long been inspired by Li's dedication to technological innovation. "I am deeply moved and motivated by Mr. Li Bin's persistence in innovation," Li said. "It is a great honor and privilege to walk alongside NIO and advance the development of China's new energy vehicle industry together."
The ES9 officially launched on the evening of May 27 with a starting price of 498,000 yuan. With the Battery as a Service (BaaS) leasing option, the entry price drops to 390,000 yuan.
Built on 11 years of technical expertise, the ES9 enters the fray with core features including full-size dimensions, a 900V high-voltage architecture, Tianxing 48V active suspension, and the Jiuxiao audio system. Bolstered by more than 40 industry-first technologies, the model is poised to be a strong contender in the 500,000-yuan bracket, further diversifying the premium SUV landscape.
The ES9's launch is more than just the arrival of a flagship model; it carves out a differentiated path in the premium market by combining a native electric platform with NIO's battery-swapping ecosystem.
The ES9's sharpest competitive edge lies in NIO's mature battery-swapping network. The company currently operates over 3,800 swapping stations nationwide and plans to add more than 1,000 to its replenishment network by year-end. A seamless three-minute swap effectively alleviates charging anxiety for large electric vehicles. Combined with the 900V platform, a 102 kWh battery, and a 620 km CLTC range, the ES9 is optimized for long-distance travel and business scenarios.
