Shanghai, June 13 (Gasgoo.com) Nissan (China) Investment Co.,Ltd. has announced that the company will start on June 21 to recall 91 imported 2007 Infiniti G35 sedans in China to fix the signal light defect, the country's quality and safety regulator said on June 11, media reported.
These imported Infiniti G35 sedans sold in the Chinese market were made between August 23, 2006 and June 21, 2007, said the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, who has received the recall report submitted by Nissan China.
The defects are mainly caused by the supplier's production equipment, which has led to the uneven surface of some switch contacts. The signal lights, if they are frequently used, could fail to function because of the poor contacts and might cause safety risk, the report said.
Nissan China said it will recall these affected Infiniti sedans in China through the company's authorized dealers across the country for free replacement of the defective parts. The Infiniti, a luxury brand of Nissan, has been imported to the Chinese market for sale.
Last month Nissan Motor announced a recall of 134,215 Infiniti G35 sedans from the 2005-2006 model and G35 coupes from the 2005-2007 model to fix the airbag defect, but this recall didn't cover China.
