Reuters (Doha) - German carmaker Volkswagen (VOWG_p.DE) has made no decision yet on launching an exclusive model for the Chinese market, its chairman said on Wednesday.
German daily Handelsblatt reported last week that Volkswagen was in advanced talks with Chinese partners about introducing a new brand especially for that market.
"Not decided yet," Ferdinand Piech told reporters on the sidelines of an event in the Qatari capital.
Piech declined comment on whether VW would divest its stake in truckmaker MAN (MANG.DE).
Fiat (FIA.MI) has expressed interest in VW's truck units -- the German firm holds key stakes in MAN and Scania (SCVb.ST) -- were they up for sale.
