Gasgoo Munich- ONVO on May 25 released purchasing-preference data for the first batch of L80 buyers. More than 90% of customers opted for the battery-as-a-service (BaaS) rental model, while Jingyue Black accounted for 58% of exterior choices — making it the most popular body color.

The ONVO L80 officially launched on May 15, positioned as a smart dual-cabin, large five-seat SUV. Full-vehicle prices start at 242,800 CNY, while the BaaS option brings the entry price down to 156,800 CNY. Among early buyers, 62% selected the Max+ trim, 58% specified the Jingyue Black exterior, and more than 70% opted for the Yuerong Brown interior. On the options list, over 70% added the "Step by Step" gull-wing power running boards, while more than 55% chose the 21-inch six-spoke glossy black wheels.
Dimensionally, the L80 stretches 5,145mm long, 1,998mm wide, and 1,786mm tall, riding on a 3,110mm wheelbase. Boot capacity stands at 1,200 liters, expanding to 2,600 liters with the second row folded, complemented by a 240-liter frunk. The automaker claims all three storage figures are the largest among mass-produced SUVs in China.
Standard equipment across the lineup includes air suspension, a full-domain 900V high-voltage architecture, and an 85kWh ternary lithium battery. The rear-wheel-drive variant delivers a CLTC range of 615km. For advanced driver assistance, buyers can choose between LiDAR and pure-vision setups — the former powered by NIO's in-house Shenjian NX9031 chip, and the latter running on Nvidia's Orin X.
As of April 2026, ONVO has delivered nearly 150,000 vehicles cumulatively. The brand handed over 107,808 units in 2025, with an average transaction price approaching 250,000 CNY. NIO founder William Li previously noted that with the L80's arrival, "the inflection point for pure-electric large five-seat SUVs is upon us."
