Gasgoo.com (Shanghai April 28) - Dongfeng Peugeot Citroën has ordered a recall of 63,301 C5 midsizes, the Beijing Times reported today. The recall will target vehicles manufactured between early September 2009 and mid-October 2011.

According to an announcement made by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, the screws in the rear axles of the C5s (pictured) in question are suspected to be improperly fastened. In extreme circumstances, the screws may fall off, causing the wheels to lose alignment. Dongfeng Peugeot will conduct free inspection and repair of all recalled vehicles. Any unsold vehicles in inventory will also be inspected and serviced before being put back on sale.
