German luxury carmaker Porsche says June sales in the U.S. have more than doubled compared with the same month a year earlier.
The company said on Thursday its deliveries rose by 137 percent from 902 vehicles to a total of 2,141.
It said this brings the total of vehicles sold in the first half of the year to 10,984, which represents a 14 percent increase against the same period a year earlier.
The maker of sports cars, based near Stuttgart, last year lost a bid to take over auto giant Volkswagen AG, who is now about to finalize a full merger and add Porsche as the company's tenth brand.
