Reuters (Paris) - PSA Peugeot Citroen (PEUP.PA) said it has started to reduce production at some European sites after Hitachi (6501.T), which supplies it with diesel engine components, was hurt by the Japan earthquake disaster.
Production at Vigo, in Spain, has fallen to 40-50 percent of capacity as a result, a PSA spokesman said on Wednesday. In France, its factory in Rennes was unaffected, while its Mulhouse plant was running at more than 75 percent of capacity.
