Gasgoo Munich- On August 25, Zhaoqing City and Shanghai Putailai New Energy Technology Group Co., Ltd. signed a framework agreement, to jointly build the Putailai New Energy Equipment and Materials South China Base Zero-Carbon Park.
Located in the Jiangbin Industrial New City of Gaoyao District, Zhaoqing, the project covers a planned area of over 1,000 mu. It focuses on the R&D, production, and industrialization of operations led by Guangdong Jiatuo New Energy Equipment and Guangdong Zhuoguo Energy Storage Advanced Materials. The plan includes constructing manufacturing zones for lithium-ion battery smart equipment, production workshops for high-end energy storage materials, R&D and testing centers, and supporting facilities.

Simultaneously, the base will drive a green, low-carbon transition, aiming to secure recognition as a provincial-level zero-carbon demonstration park. This initiative supports Zhaoqing's ambition to build itself into a manufacturing hub in the western Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
This signing marks a critical step for Zhaoqing as it prioritizes manufacturing and expands its new energy industrial cluster. It also represents a milestone for Putailai Group, signaling a new phase of development in the Gaoyao district.
Public records show Shanghai Putailai New Energy Technology Group Co., Ltd. is a leading player in new energy battery materials and automation equipment. Putailai Group established a presence in Gaoyao in 2021 with an investment in its South China Base. The facility is divided into two main sectors—Jiatuo and Zhuoguo—focused primarily on producing separator and electrode coating equipment, as well as separators and coated separator products.
Throughout the project's implementation, city and district governments adhered to a service philosophy of "Project First, Enterprise Foremost." By employing strategies like reverse scheduling and chart-based tracking to ensure resource allocation and resolve bottlenecks, they helped Putailai establish a phased development pattern in Gaoyao: one batch in production, one under construction, one pending signature, and one under negotiation.
This agreement signals that strategic cooperation between the two parties is moving to a deeper and higher level.
