Gasgoo Munich- PUTAILAI recently released its semi-annual report for the first half of 2026. Revenue climbed 42.7% year-on-year to 10.115 billion yuan, while net profit attributable to shareholders rose 37.58% to 1.452 billion yuan. The second quarter drove much of that momentum, with revenue hitting roughly 5.76 billion yuan and net profit reaching 750 million yuan — a further step up from the first quarter.

Breaking down the business, new energy battery materials and services remain PUTAILAI's core driver. The segment generated 7.913 billion yuan in operating revenue in the first half, before inter-segment eliminations. Shipments of coated separators, base films, anode materials, and battery-grade PVDF all posted robust growth.
Specifically, processing volume for coated separators reached 7.946 billion square meters, up 66.47%. Base film shipments surged 94.69% to 1.027 billion square meters, while anode material sales climbed 37.45% to 95,200 tonnes. Battery-grade PVDF shipments also jumped, hitting 26,700 tonnes — a 90.22% increase.
The automation equipment and services division also posted substantial gains. Operating revenue for the unit approached 2.6 billion yuan in the first half, before internal eliminations, representing growth of over 40%.
On the capacity front, the first phase of Sichuan Zichen's 100,000-ton anode project is gradually ramping up. Meanwhile, the company's four major production bases in Jiangxi, Shandong, Inner Mongolia, and Liyang are all operating at full capacity.
Yet, as anode material capacity continues to come online, PUTAILAI is facing pressure on costs. Prices for key raw materials like needle coke and petroleum coke climbed in the first half, squeezing cost control in the second quarter. To offset these shifts, the company began raising product prices in June, passing on some of the cost to customers.
