Gasgoo.com (Shanghai December 2) - Starting next week, Renault will begin a recall of its Clio subcompacts made between October 2010 and January 2011, Caijing reported today. The recall order, which has already been submitted to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, will target 1,411 Clios exported to China.

The recall is being issued due to a production flaw in the power steering that could lead its failure and potential safety risks. Renault's Chinese branch has already contacted affected owners via mail, phone ad other methods. It will offer free inspection and maintenance of all affected vehicles.
