Gasgoo Munich- Renesas Electronics is set to showcase a suite of advanced solutions for embodied intelligence, industrial robots, and service robots at the upcoming EAI Show, according to Gasgoo Embodied Intelligence.
As AI technology accelerates its push into the physical world, edge intelligence and physical AI have emerged as key growth drivers for the semiconductor sector. Humanoid robots, in particular, are increasingly viewed as critical vessels for next-generation computing power.
To capitalize on this trend, Renesas is leveraging its expertise in embedded processing, analog, power, and connectivity. The company aims to accelerate robot system development and ecosystem adoption through a comprehensive semiconductor portfolio spanning "perception, control, communication, and power management," supported by its Renesas 365 software platform.

At the exhibition, Renesas Electronics will highlight five core technology solutions that cover the critical chain from perception to execution:
Sensor Fusion Dexterous Hand Solution: Integrating hardware such as the RZ/V2H processor, the RAA2S4251 sensor signal conditioner, and the RAA2S4704 capacitive touch sensor, this solution leverages the Renesas 365 software platform. It covers the entire lifecycle—from design and development to deployment, management, monitoring, and OTA updates. By enabling object recognition, force detection, and adaptive grasping control, the system enhances operational stability, safety, and interaction in complex environments.
Robot Joint Solution: Built on the high-performance RA8T2 microcontroller, this solution supports EtherCAT industrial Ethernet, BLDC motor drives, and high-precision position sensing. It provides motor control algorithms, a compact circuit design, and a complete set of design materials—including source code—to help speed up the development of robotic joint systems.
RZ/T2H 9-Axis Motor Control Solution: Powered by the RZ/T2H—a microprocessor designed for industrial motor control and multi-protocol master-slave networks—this solution achieves high-speed, high-precision control for up to nine motor axes. It also supports multiple master-slave communication protocols, including industrial Ethernet, on a single chip.
Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Control Solution: Also utilizing the RA8T2 platform, this solution supports 24-volt permanent magnet synchronous motors, incremental encoders, and EtherCAT slave functionality (generated via Beckhoff SSC). It comes with complete hardware design materials, user guides, and example code, allowing customers to quickly evaluate and develop RA8T2-based industrial DC servo motor control systems.
Robot Joint Encoder: Designed specifically for robotic joints, this solution uses the RAA2P3226 dual-channel eddy current position sensor to simultaneously detect positions at both the motor and reducer ends. Compared to traditional optical or magnetic encoders, it offers superior resistance to stray magnetic field interference, along with higher reliability, design flexibility, and cost-effectiveness.
