Gasgoo Munich- SAIC-GM-Wuling released its May sales figures on June 1, reporting global deliveries of 126,087 units — a sign of steady growth, according to Gasgoo.
New-energy vehicles drove the performance, with sales hitting 74,178 units. Overseas shipments were equally robust, exceeding 30,000 units for the second straight month. Exports reached 30,090 units in May alone, marking an acceleration in the company's global push.

Breaking down the dual-brand strategy, the Red Badge and Silver Badge lines worked in tandem, selling 45,224 and 46,026 units respectively. Both surpassed the 45,000 mark, shoring up the company's foundation in both passenger and commercial markets. Meanwhile, the Wuling Huajing S — launched just three weeks ago — notched 3,603 deliveries, signaling a new growth avenue for the brand's move upmarket.
Cumulative sales for the first five months of the year hit 559,281 units, with new-energy vehicle deliveries accounting for 257,769 of that total.
