Shanghai, June 24 (Gasgoo.com) SAIC Motor's 10,000th own-brand Roewe 350 car recently rolled off the production line at its Nanjing plant, located in the Pukou district of Nanjing city, Jiangsu province, China. The monthly output of the plant has reached 6,000 vehicles at present, Nanjing Daily reported yesterday.

Roewe 350

SAIC Motor rolled out its first Roewe 350 in March this year, with an output of only 300 units. Three months later, the output has unexpectedly reached more than 5,000 units and is heading for a higher level.

Reportedly, the designed output in June at the Nanjing plant is 6,500 units, with 5,400 Roewe 350 included. In July, the output of the Roewe 350 is expected to reach a record 7,300 units, bringing the plant's monthly output to over 8,000 units.

The Roewe 350 got 10,000 orders even in the first month after its launching in March, resulting in demand exceeding supply in the current Chinese market, SAIC Motor's sales company said.

SAIC Motor's Nanjing plant has set the annual sales target of the Roewe 350 at 50,000 units for this year. It is now operating on two shifts.
