Gasgoo Munich- AI² Robotics has closed a Series B funding round worth more than 1 billion yuan.
The Series B round comprised five separate tranches. Combined with seven earlier rounds worth hundreds of millions, the company has now closed 12 funding rounds in the past year alone. This latest capital injection pushes AI² Robotics' valuation past the 10 billion yuan mark.
The investor roster spans internet and AI giants, top state-owned enterprises, leaders in the Tesla ecosystem, strategic partners, deep-pocketed private equity funds, and brokerage or local government funds. Notable backers include Baidu, CRRC Capital and Yusys Technologies, with existing shareholders doubling down.
Proceeds will be channeled into maintaining the company's lead in embodied AI capabilities via its GOVLA large model. That capital will also drive product iterations and production line expansion for the AlphaBot series, reinforcing AI² Robotics' competitive edge in its "model × hardware × scenario" framework.

Founded in April 2023 by Dr. Guo Yandong, AI² Robotics focuses on the R&D, production, and service of productive general-purpose robots. The company has adhered to an end-to-end large model paradigm from day one, developing Alpha Brain — its proprietary full-body embodied AI model — and designing the AlphaBot series around it.
The AlphaBot lineup has already seen three iterations in less than two years. The latest AlphaBot 2 features a wheeled dual-arm design, with core components boasting over 50,000 hours of failure-free operation — meeting industrial-grade reliability standards.
On the deployment front, the AlphaBot series has been rolled out at scale across multiple sectors. In high-end scenarios like automotive, biotech, and semiconductor display manufacturing — including clients like HKC — the robots handle sorting, transport, and labeling. They also operate in complex, open environments such as major transport hubs in first-tier cities, offering public services to passengers. In new retail, the company's "Smart Cube," a modular embodied intelligence service space launched in late 2025, is already in routine operation in cities like Beijing and Shenzhen. AI² Robotics plans to deploy 1,000 units over the next three years, carving out a new growth curve beyond industrial applications.
As commercial applications expand, AI² Robotics launched its own production line in September 2025 and quickly ramped up capacity, achieving monthly deliveries in the triple digits by December of that year. The facility currently has an annual capacity of 1,000 units, with plans to scale up to 10,000 units by 2026.
