Beijing (Gasgoo)- Gasgoo learned on Jan. 7 that Beijing KEYi Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "KEYi Technology") has recently closed a new funding round of nearly 100 million yuan, co-led by Wuzhong Financial Holdings and Suzhou Yuanhe The Taihu Lake Bay Venture Capital Management. Co-stone Capital and individual investors including Li Wanqiang joined the round, while existing shareholder Lanchi Ventures increased its investment. The proceeds will be used for R&D on emotional-interaction models for robots, mass production and market rollout of new products, and recruiting top AI talent.
Founded in 2014, KEYi Technology focuses on interactive robots. Its emotional-interaction model blends bionic motion control, multi-modal sensing and natural language processing to enable dynamic links between AI and human emotions.

Loona, the company's flagship household pet robot, has posted standout sales recently. According to data released on Dec. 5 for November, the four-day Black Friday promotion (Nov. 28–Dec. 1) saw 5,101 units sold — a 538% year-on-year jump; for the month as a whole, sales totaled 10,000 units, up 161%. That brings Loona's global sales to more than 90,000 units. It offers emotional interaction, entertainment, remote monitoring and graphical programming instruction, and is positioned for family companionship.
During CES 2026, the company unveiled Loona Deskmate — billed as the world's first desktop assistant robot — aimed at personal office use and integrating emotional interaction, schedule management, meeting assistance and high-speed charging.
