Shanghai GM announced Wednesday that the company sold 81,067 vehicles in August, and has realized a 641,300-unit sales during the first eight months, up 57 percent year-on-year.
The joint venture (JV) with General Motors sold 45,688 units of Buick; 33,755 units of Chevrolet and 1,624 units of Cadillac last month.
From January to August this year, 342,769 Buicks; 288,101 Chevrolets and 10,445 Cadillacs were sold, up 27 percent, 114 percent and 157 percent respectively.
