Gasgoo Munich- Shanghai Huizhong Automotive Manufacturing's Xuchang subsidiary officially began production on Nov. 4. The new plant will work in tandem with Shanghai Huizhong's Zhengzhou subsidiary, primarily supplying SAIC Motor Passenger Vehicle's Zhengzhou branch and nearby automakers — further tightening SAIC Motor's parts supply chain across central China.

Public records show Shanghai Huizhong is a chassis-system supplier under HASCO, focusing on the R&D and manufacturing of chassis systems for passenger and commercial vehicles. Its product lineup spans front and rear axles and structural chassis components, with a client roster that includes SAIC Motor Passenger Vehicle, SAIC Volkswagen, SAIC-GM, and several other domestic automakers.
HASCO's 2026 interim report notes that Xuchang Huizhong Automotive Intelligent Chassis System Co., Ltd. was established on Feb. 28 this year with registered capital of 25 million yuan.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, Shanghai Huizhong Vice General Manager Jin Xiaochun said the Xuchang plant will coordinate closely with its Zhengzhou counterpart to shorten parts logistics and supply-response times. Faster deliveries, he noted, will bolster the chassis supply chain as SAIC Motor transitions toward smart electric vehicles.
The Xuchang launch marks Shanghai Huizhong's latest step to deepen its manufacturing footprint in central China. As the industry pivots toward electrification and smarter vehicles, chassis suppliers are increasingly collocating with automakers and tightening joint-development capabilities.
