Shanghai, June 17 (Gasgoo.com) In May, Shanghai VW sold 74,499 units of its various models, up 24.7% year on year. In terms of VW brands, Lavida, Passat new Lingyu (including Lingyu), Polo and Touran sold 19,684, 10,870, 10,342 and 1,916 units, respectively.
Affected by the transformation of the production line, Santana Vista (Zhijun) only delivered 4,098 units last month. The production capacity of Tiguan, Shanghai VW's first SUV model, grew 46.8% from a month earlier, and delivered 5,421 units to users.
When it comes to the Skoda brand, the new Octavia (Mingrui), which was just put on sale in April, began to increase its production, and delivered 7,309 units; the A0-class high-end Fabia (Jingrui) and the flagship model Superb (Haorui) delivered 3,446 and 3,406 units separately.
