Shanghai, July 7 (Gasgoo.com) On July 6, officials from Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Science, Ministry of Industry and Information and the National Development and Reform Commission gathered in Shenzhen yesterday for the launch ceremony of subsidies for private purchasing of new energy vehicles.

Zhang Shaochun, vice minister of the Ministry of Finance said that the highest subsidy for the plug-in hybrid electric vehicle is 50,000 yuan ($7,350) per unit while the subsidy for per pure electric vehicle is 60,000 yuan. Thus, the promotion of new energy vehicles took its substantive step in Shenzhen.

To push the sales of private purchasing of new energy vehicles to 25,000 units at the end of 2012, Shenzhen local government will add another 30,000 and 60,000 yuan to the plug-in hybrid electric vehicle and pure electric vehicle respectively.

As the co-organizer of this event, BYD responds actively to this policy by putting its low-carbon model F3DM on sale simultaneously. Priced at 169,800 yuan, after getting the double subsidies from the state and local government, it will be a very competitive price of 89,800 yuan.

In addition, to take the policy one step further, China Southern Power Grid Corporation is speeding up the construction of charging stations and charging piles to provide more supporting facilities to ensure the convenient use of electric vehicles.
