Skoda China to appoint new CEO

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai June 28) - Alfred Rieck is preparing to end his almost two year stint as head of Skoda China, the Economic Observer reported today. Skoda China will reportedly be announcing its new candidate for CEO within the week.

According to reports, the role of CEO may go to Winfried Vahland (pictured below). Dr. Vahland has previously worked as CEO of Volkswagen China. The company has also appointed a new director of public relations, Christoph Ludewig.

Skoda and parent company are also preparing to release their new strategy for the Chinese market, which is expected to revolve around how to improve Skoda's position in the marketplace.
