Technical Description:
Powered by a single Horizon Robotics Journey 6M integrated chip, the system packs a CPU punch of 137KDMIPS and 128TOPS of AI computing power. By tightly integrating the CPU, BPU, and MCU within the chip, it offers a lighter, more streamlined structure than traditional multi-chip setups. The entire controller has earned ISO21434 automotive cybersecurity certification and meets ASIL-B functional safety standards—rigorously satisfying the demands of both passenger and commercial vehicles while balancing high performance with low power consumption.
Developed with a full-stack approach covering both hardware and underlying software, the SoDrive3.0 provides a standardized, reliable, and lightweight foundation for autonomous driving algorithms. Spanning both passenger and commercial vehicle scenarios, it leverages the Journey 6M chip to deeply integrate environmental perception, high-precision positioning, and vehicle powertrain braking control. It robustly supports Navigate on Autopilot (NOA) for urban areas and highways in passenger cars, as well as trunk-line highway NOA for heavy trucks—handling everything from complex city intersections and ramp merges to sharp curves and long descents with ease.
