Gasgoo.com (Shanghai January 25) - With sales breaking through the 120,000 vehicles mark last year, South East Motors, commonly referred to as Soueast, is setting its sights higher in 2011, with a sales target of 150,000 vehicles. For the purpose of reaching this goal, Soueast will be bringing new 2011 models under its own brand as well as through its partnership with Mitsubishi, www.bjnews.com.cn reported. Additionally, the company will be planning to introduce a hatchback version of its V3 Lingyue, as well as trying to take its chance at entering the subcompact market.

"The future subcompact model will be similar to the Honda Fit and Toyota Yaris," the company said. The company will use the 'V' name to designate its sedans, while the 'C' brand will be used for its commercial vehicles.

As for its new V3 Lingyue model, Soueast will take the original sedan (pictured), and employ a trendy, individual design that targets young consumers. Additionally, future models inheriting the V3 design will be made. According to sources within the company, the new V3 will be a hatchback built on a 2500mm wheelbase. It is expected to be released in 2012.
