Shanghai, May 12 (Gasgoo.com) Japanese automaker Suzuki Motor will also start selling the 2,400cc Kizashi sedan in China next month to widen its product line-up in the world's largest auto market, the Nikkei business daily said.

Suzuki Motor will import and sell the Kizashi sedan via a sales agent in China. Meanwhile, the car company also plans to expand its dealer network in China by 20% this year to 1,200 dealers to expand sales.

The Kizashi has a 2.4-liter engine and comes in two-and four-wheel-drive versions featuring continuously variable transmissions. Suzuki will offer sportier-looking Kizashis as well, the Nikkei said. The Kizashi model was unveiled at the recent 2010 Beijing auto show.

Changan Suzuki Automobile Co Ltd, Suzuki's China joint venture with Changan Auto, sold 13,216 cars in April and 662,000 units in the first four months. The JV expects to lift its annual capacity to 180,000 vehicles this year.

Suzuki's another China venture, Changhe Suzuki, may be merged with Changan Suzuki into a single entity after Chinese parent Changhe Auto was acquired by Changan Auto in late 2009.
