The project centers on an innovative interior solution that integrates lighting and electronics into a single, ready-to-use smart structure. This approach delivers a sleek, seamless visual effect alongside an immersive cabin experience.

IMSE® technology is central to the project's value proposition. By embedding electronics directly into finished components, the technology creates an ultra-thin, lightweight solution that is both energy-efficient and durable. It also cuts material consumption, helping drive the auto industry toward sustainable manufacturing. Through this deep technical collaboration, TactoTek not only built the underlying architecture for IMSE® but also enabled Valeo to bring the solution to mass production.

To support the industrial mass production of IMSE®, Valeo has developed a new production line — a move that underscores its strategic commitment to advanced manufacturing, process optimization, and forward-looking production capabilities.

Jussi Harvela, CEO of TactoTek, said the partnership with Valeo and the launch of the new line mark a key milestone for IMSE® in large-scale industrial application. The technology's significant cost advantages and strong adaptability to future design evolution were key to securing the order.

This collaboration is set to drive further innovation in smart cabin interiors and accelerate the scaling of IMSE® technology across the automotive sector. The new production line, combined with the synergy between Valeo and TactoTek, lays a solid foundation for upgrading future cabin experiences.

Since 2024, Valeo has secured nearly 1 billion euros in interior lighting orders—including this project—covering cutting-edge fields such as pixelated lighting, light guide technology, and smart surfaces.
