Shanghai October 21 (Gasgoo.com) The prices of China's domestically-made vehicles fell 0.41% in September compared with the previous month and dipped 0.30% compared with a year earlier, Yangcheng Evening Post reported Thursday, citing latest data from the price monitoring center.
The prices of passenger vehicles dropped 0.09% last month from August and 2.56% from a year earlier.
The prices of commercial vehicles went down by 0.35% last month from August and rose 3.02% from a year earlier.
In September, prices of imported vehicles decreased by 0.20% on the month and increased by 9.62% on the year, of which prices of imported sedans and SUVs declined by 0.02% and 0.39% respectively.
China's vehicle prices may fall steadily in the second half of 2010 because of increasing inventories and pressure by wholesalers to meet sales targets, the country's planning ministry said earlier, according to a Bloomberg report.
