Gasgoo.com (Shanghai April 18) - FAW-Volkswagen said that it will be officially bringing over the Passat B7L to China this summer, auto.sina.com.cn reported today. FAW-VW's production site in Changchun, Jilin also confirmed that they have began investing in production of the B7L, which will be sold under the Magotan name, this quarter.
With VW's the Passat B7 having been shown off at last month's Paris Motor Show, all eyes have looking forward to upcoming information on the B series. The new B7 combines traditional German design with the most advanced in technology enhancements.
Boasting Dynamic Light Assist and various other features, media outlets across the globe have been nicknaming the Passat B7 'a mini Phaeton.' The B7 also shows its VW heritage by sporting chrome-plated accents and sleek styling.
Under the hood, the B7 comes with the choice of ten different engines, including 1.4 TSI, 1.8 TSI and 2.0 TSI configurations, mated to a DSG transmission.
