Xiaomi EV stated that VGT stands for "Vision Gran Turismo," a global virtual concept car collaboration initiated by Kazunori Yamauchi, producer of the Gran Turismo series. The initiative invites automakers worldwide to overcome real-world technological and material constraints to design concept cars representing their ideal vision for future mobility.
The collaboration began at the GT World Series in London last year, where Yamauchi invited Xiaomi to co-create a Vision Gran Turismo concept car. This marks a significant milestone for Chinese automotive design entering the global stage.
Xiaomi EV confirmed that the Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo will not enter mass production. The concept serves as an exploration into innovative design beyond the company's core technology.
