Xiaomi EV stated that VGT stands for "Vision Gran Turismo," a global virtual concept car collaboration initiated by Kazunori Yamauchi, producer of the Gran Turismo series. The initiative invites automakers worldwide to overcome real-world technological and material constraints to design concept cars representing their ideal vision for future mobility.

The collaboration began at the GT World Series in London last year, where Yamauchi invited Xiaomi to co-create a Vision Gran Turismo concept car. This marks a significant milestone for Chinese automotive design entering the global stage.

Xiaomi EV confirmed that the Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo will not enter mass production. The concept serves as an exploration into innovative design beyond the company's core technology. It aligns with the VGT project's mission to transcend real-world engineering, materials, and craftsmanship to envision the ultimate driving experience.

Xiaomi EV noted that compared to classic VGT models, the Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo is distinguished by its tech-centric design philosophy. While overcoming physical constraints for aerodynamic breakthroughs, the concept reflects the era of electrification and intelligence. It embodies the design team's vision for the future human-machine relationship, representing a technology company's perspective on supercar design.

Xiaomi EV revealed that the Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo will debut at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona from March 2 to 5, 2026. The company plans subsequent exhibitions in China, with details to be released via official channels.

Regarding the game release, Xiaomi EV stated that the Gran Turismo team is collaborating on vehicle integration and development. The official launch is scheduled for a later date, with updates to be announced when available.
