Gasgoo Munich- Yanfeng International recently entered into a strategic partnership with GALBOT, signaling a joint push to accelerate the industrial deployment of embodied artificial intelligence, according to a press release Yangfeng issued on April 16 via its WeChat account. The collaboration centers on integrating advanced robotics with smart manufacturing, with a clear focus on scaling real-world industrial applications.

At the heart of the partnership are GALBOT's proprietary embodied AI foundation model, dubbed "AstraBrain," and its robotic hardware platform "AstraSynth." These technologies will be integrated with Yanfeng's established strengths in manufacturing systems, quality control, and global production networks.

The two companies aim to move industrial robots beyond fixed automation toward autonomous decision-making and flexible task execution. As part of the initiative, GALBOT's Shanghai-based unit will work closely with Yanfeng's intelligent manufacturing capability center to develop and refine training environments for embodied AI. Together, they plan to define a standardized ecosystem for industrial-grade robotics and foster coordination across the full supply chain.

Unlike pilot-stage collaborations, the partnership is explicitly geared toward large-scale deployment. The companies intend to jointly tackle key technical challenges in embodied intelligence while developing industrial solutions that can be replicated and scaled. The goal is to shift smart manufacturing from isolated demonstrations to fully operational production-line applications.

Zang Chungao, General Manager of Yanfeng, described the partnership as a critical step in advancing new forms of productivity and reshaping manufacturing paradigms. He noted that leveraging embodied AI could help overcome persistent bottlenecks in precision processing and flexible operations within automotive component production. By combining large-scale deployment with capability center development, the two sides aim to jointly establish an industrial robotics ecosystem and drive broader supply chain integration.

Wang He, founder and chief technology officer of GALBOT, said the alliance marks a transition point for embodied robotics—from technological breakthroughs to scalable industrial productivity. He highlighted the complementary nature of the two companies, with Yanfeng's manufacturing expertise and global deployment capabilities pairing with GALBOT's strengths in large AI models and general-purpose robotics. The collaboration, he added, is designed to extend beyond individual production lines, targeting broader adoption across global manufacturing and contributing to the development of standardized, repeatable solutions.

Ultimately, the partnership will focus on addressing critical pain points in automotive component manufacturing, particularly in scenarios requiring higher levels of intelligence and adaptability. By building scalable application models, the two companies aim to create a demonstrative benchmark for the industry.

Against the backdrop of a global shift in manufacturing, the alliance also seeks to develop exportable smart factory solutions and contribute to emerging industry standards—supporting the transition from conventional automation to fully intelligent production systems and shaping the next phase of industrial evolution.
